Getting started

Before you apply, make sure you:

• are a UK taxpayer aged 18 years or over
• Have your UK bank or building society account details. Please note that you cannot nominate an account held with electronic money institutions or payment institutions (e.g. Prepay Technologies, Loot, Pocket, Revolut, Tide, TransferWise & other e-money services)
• have an email address that, ideally, isn't shared with anyone else
• are happy for us to check your identity, address and bank details electronically (online)

Things you need to know:

• Once your account is open, you will be asked to fund your account. Please note, your first deposit must be for a minimum of £1,000. The maximum account balance allowed (excluding interest) is £1,000,000. Any payments above or below these thresholds will be returned. Please be aware, we may require additional information in relation to the source of any funds deposited. If a request for additional information is made, it's important you respond within the requested timeframe.

In order to enter into an agreement with you, and for us to discharge our legal responsibilities, we need to verify your application and undertake credit reference agency, fraud prevention and anti-money laundering checks by evaluating your application for an account using credit reference and fraud prevention agencies. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information about how we use your personal data when you apply for an account with us.
